 Ethics Circle

The Ethics Circle is a multidisciplinary body that supports the Living Lab with independent perspectives from psychology, ethics, design, technology, social innovation and law.

Its role is to review Living Lab activities for ethical, inclusion, and harm risks, challenge assumptions and blind spots, support responsible decision-making before scale.

Participatory governance

The GoodTech Living Lab operates through:

  • transparent decision-making,
  • shared responsibility,
  • regular reflection and feedback loops.

Key principles include:

  • human oversight in critical decisions,
  • openness to dissent and challenge,
  • psychological safety for team members and partners.

This governance model mirrors the standards we expect from the technologies we validate.

Social enterprise commitments

The GoodTech Living Lab is operated by a certified social enterprise, committed to:

  • reinvesting the majority of profits into social objectives,
  • equitable and transparent remuneration practices,
  • long-term societal value over short-term gain.

This legal and operational framework reinforces independence, accountability, and mission alignment.
